You need to pick about three colours that you are going to base your outfit/makeup/shoes and accessories on.

This make up matcher might help

Choose what suits you and you feel comfortable in- that is the most important- make the best of your best features etc.
dont believe anyone who tells you that you will look better with your hair off your face
I take it you are a girl, and this then reflects on this answer.

Depends on your dress for the prom. Your make up needs to compliment your outfit for starters, and your hair! Be careful not to choose a dress that clashes with the colour of your hair. If you are having your hair coloured etc, then do this first, then choose your dress. If you have already bought the dress then that's fine just make sure that all the colours compliment. Go to a department store and get some free make-up advice, or to a beauty salon where you can get a make up lesson for a reasonable price! Good luck!
i find wearing a balaclava works really well................

white/shimmery eyemakeup in the corner of your eyes (the corner nearer your nose!) should make them look really big and bright.

i'd also suggest drinking a lot of water in the run up to the prom. it'll make your skin clear and beautiful and get rid of all the toxins in your body!!
Hair - Try a straight fringe and loose ringlets, I always think that looks lovely. Straight hair is nice for every day, but I think curls look more special. If that isn't your cup of tea, a sleek up-do would look just as nice.

Make up - Metallics are in right now, and silver eyeliner with some sparkly silver eyeshadow would look nice with blue eyes (trust me, I'm a blue!) Top it off with a clear lip gloss and a light blush!
just remember to style your hair and your make-up in a way that you feel relaxed with. the last thing you want is your night to be ruined by stressing sbout your looks. enjoy your nite as well!!!
I think for prom, up-dos always work best.

My sister just used that site for her prom last week and brought a pic she wanted to her hair stylist. If you're doing it yourself, there are some very easy to follow ones.

My best advice for makeup is to keep it understated. Don't go overboard with your makeup- so many people do that for prom and it looks terrible. Use a really bold lipstick and since it's summer-ish now go for a bronzer not a blush on your cheeks. Your eyes should depend on your dress, but don't go over the top with them, a good coat of mascara, some eyeliner, and a light powder should do.

Have fun with it!!
Go to a department store and a free make over and advise from the women at the beauty counters. You might even get some free samples!
I think that if your hair is alot like mine then you should do an up-do. I would put it in a bun with little curls of hair hanging down. To make it look really dressy you should put little rhinestones that you can buy from claires in certain places in ur hair that you think look good. For the make-up I would think it depends on what dress u r wearing.

Hope I Helped,

Yeah brown paper bag, no only joking, i would say a nice dress strapless, long hair drapping over shoulders and back, you can buy clip in hair extentions they cost around 15-209 each you will only need 2 3 max. light curls, not huge riglets, as for make up minimal, wear a little foundation but not enough to show up. The eyes should be the focal point of your face so no eyeshadow, long eyelashes, and black not thick, can also buy these, go for seperate ones not whole eye ones. And then rosey cheeks and bronzer lightly across upper cheeks and necka nd as far down as dress goes. natural lips, a little bit of clear or if any colour light shiny pink. Remember less done well is better then more.

Sorry so long but hope you look fab and the tips work. x

Also a little spray glitter on hair only a little so when the lights are going you shimmer, only a little and must be sprayed on .
